ESE was created to promote research, education and clinical practice in endocrinology for the public benefit. This is achieved through the organisation of conferences, training courses and publications; by raising awareness; liaising with national and international legislators; and by any other appropriate means. Major activities include the organisation of the annual European Congress of Endocrinology as well as a number of postgraduate courses. ESE has five official journals covering the full spectrum of endocrinology that help to raise the profile of European endocrinology.
